Piastraia Michele Satta
Piastraia is a fine Tuscan wine produced by Michele Satta, a very high quality wine that uniquely expresses the Bolgheri terroir. It is obtained from a blend in equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon 25%, Sangiovese 25%, Merlot 25%, Syrah 25%, harvested and vinified separately to respect the right ripening time and the characteristics of each. Fermentation takes place separately and spontaneously in large truncated conical glass barrels with a capacity of 30 hectoliters, with maceration on the skins for 20 days. After the wine passes in French oak barrels, only for a fifth new, for a period between 18 and 24 months depending on the vintage. The best barrels are then chosen to create the final blend before bottling. The Piastraia Michele Satta is bright ruby red in color; The nose expresses hints of small red berries with dark berries, jam fruit, spices, leather and tobacco. In the mouth it is elegant and harmonious.
