Barolo Dagromis 2009 Gaja
Gaja's Barolo Dagromis is a wonderful expression of the most famous Piedmontese wine. It is produced according to tradition with the separate vinification of Nebbiolo grapes coming from different vineyards in the communes of La Morra and Serralunga, before being blended and aged together.
Grapes are vinified in large steel containers where they are fermented and macerated in skins, subsequently the single crus are aged for 12 months in barrique, once blended they will be aged for 18 months in large oak casks.
Gaja Dagromis shows in the glass a garnet red color, accompanied by a bouquet of small red berries, flowers, underbrush and spices. In the mouth is an elegant and powerful wine, very balanced, with a really persuasive tannic texture.
