Amarone della Valpolicella Morandina 2015 Graziano Prà
Graziano Pra is a winery deeply committed to the production of healthy natural wines, real wines that express in a glass the whole territory and the vintage following the dictates of organic and natural agriculture, for a winemaking that is not dictated by the fashion of the moment but exclusively by what Nature allows to obtain.
Amarone Prà comes from a blend of Oseleta, Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella, vines that grow with the guyot system in the vineyards of Mezzane and Tregnago at about 450 meters above sea level. The vines are managed with organic farming practices, on a subsoil of glacial origin. Towards the middle of October the harvesting of the bunches of grapes begins, which are then dried in boxes for two months. After pressing, the must obtained ferments in stainless steel containers, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The wine is transferred into tonneaux and barriques where it remains to mature for two years; it is then blended, followed by further ageing in tonneaux for one year.
The Amarone signed Prà is a red wine with an intense and concentrated ruby colour, practically impenetrable to the eye. The nose is generous and abundant, articulated on notes of juicy and ripe fruit, then enriched by spicy sensations and hints of licorice. On the palate it is round, warm, ample on the palate, with an important structure, which makes use of a remarkable tannic grip and a refined balance between fresh and savoury components. A label that gives us a long-lived look, promising surprises in the future thanks to a marked ability to refine.
