Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens 2017 Domaine Joseph Voillot
Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens 2017 is a fine wine from Burgundy produced by Domaine Joseph Voillot. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from the 1er Cru Les Rugiens vineyard in Pommard. The great attention paid to the highest quality of grapes to the detriment of quantity leads to a low production, about 1800 bottles per year, however the wine obtained conquers for its incredible elegance, juiciness and structure. This Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru 2012 from Joseph Voillot winery has an intense ruby red color, while the nose expresses intense aromas with a bouquet of herbaceous and mineral notes which blend with hints of ripe red fruit and fruit under spirits. The taste is silky and juicy, pleasantly fruity and mineral, with a good structure and an important tannin balanced by a pleasing wrap for a firm, balanced and very long finish. A powerful and elegant wine, austere and rigorous at first impact but generous and wrapping as it opens in the glass.
