ANTOINE BOUVET
Antoine Bouvet, biodynamic Champagne
The young Antonie Bouvet carries on the work started by his grandfather Guy, who in 1970 founded his small Maison Guy Bouvet in Moreuil-sur-Ay, in the Vallée de la Marne. Antonie inherited her grandfather's passion for Champagne and despite her young age, she has clear ideas about producing wine using biodynamic methods in full respect of the territory.
Only a few bottles are produced (no more than 600 bottles per cuvée to be exact) in a sensitive and careful manner, from a limited number of vineyards consisting of plants that are on average old but capable of producing high quality grapes, resting on calcareous soils rich in chalk.
The vineyard is managed with meticulous care and respect for the terroir according to biodynamic farming methods, with minimal use of chemicals. In this way, Bouvet creates great Champagnes that are authentic and very territorial. A young name that is rapidly establishing itself in the panorama of great French labels.
