Benoit Dehu biodynamic Champagne The Domaine Déhu Père et Fils was born in 1787 and is now managed, after 8 generations, by Benoit Dehu who after an experience at Bollinger returns to the family Domaine with the clear idea of setting up the work according to principles of organic agriculture, without use of chemicals.
Just 1.70 hectares of selected Pinot Meunier vineyards worked with biodynamic methods: use horses to plow the soil, follow the moon phases, harvest only in the morning and in five phases to achieve perfect maturity, squeeze the juice from a small press from 2000 Kg. Benoit has focused its work on the goal of obtaining high quality grapes with minimal artificial intervention, respecting the times and phases that nature offers.
The style of Benoit wines is lively and deep with a strong mineral and floral aromatic profile. Although its production is minimal, only 2,400 bottles, its wines are finding success among Champagne lovers and Domaine Dehu is becoming a reference as one of the most dynamic realities of Champagne.
