Asolo Prosecco Superiore Akelum Andreola
Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG "Akelum" is a Veneto wine produced by the Andreola winery, which is part of the line of sparkling wines dedicated to the DOCG of Asolo Prosecco Superiore, the area surrounding the ancient village of Asolo, a few dozen kilometres east of Valdobbiadene.
The name Akelum refers to the hilly nature of the area and in particular to the hill on which the Rocca d'Asolo stands. It is made from pure Glera grapes and re-fermentation takes place in autoclaves with about 3 months' rest on the lees before bottling.
The result is a sparkling wine with elegant and delicate aromas, the nose is characterised by aromas of fruit and flowers such as apple, pear and peach, combined with floral notes of white rose and acacia. The sip is fresh and fruity, elegant and gourmand, perfect with aperitifs and appetizers of land and sea.
