Richebourg Grand Cru 2015 Thibault Liger Belair
The Richebourg Grand Cru 2015 Thibault Liger Belair is a red Burgundy wine. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes that come from a vineyard of 0.52 hectares of very old vines planted between 1931 and 1936. Located in the southern part of the appellation, some 50 metres from Romanée and Romanée Conti, this plot is the oldest of this grand cru. The terroir here is very special indeed, naturally composed of clay and limestone but in extremely varied shapes and colours, giving the wine extraordinary aromas and great complexity. Harvesting is by hand and fermentation takes place with 30% whole bunches for 3 weeks. Maturation takes place in 60% new oak barrels for between 18 and 24 months.
