Bourgogne Tonnerre 2018 Gruhier
Bourgogne Tonnerre 2018 is a white wine from Burgundy produced by Gruhier. The 100% Chardonnay grapes come from the Burgundy Chablis area, whose soils are renowned for producing elegant, fresh and very mineral Chardonnays, the best in the world with these characteristics. The primary characteristic of the soil, clay, gives a silky touch to this white wine.
Most of the must is fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness, while the rest is matured in barrels, which gives the wine creaminess and roundness. The result of this work is a balanced wine: rich and very elegant at the same time. The Bourgogne Tonnerre 2018 expresses a bright straw yellow colour, the nose offers a lively bouquet of lemon and citrus with the sweetness of quince, on a background of mineral notes.
The taste is very balanced between freshness and softness, where the acidity awakens the palate, while the fruit balances with a pleasant sensation of sweetness. Intense, elegant and refined at the same time, it is ideal to drink after a few years' rest in the bottle.
