Chablis Grand Cru 2014 Vaudesir
This Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir 2014 by Samuel Billaud is a natural French wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that come from the 1.2 hectares of property in the Grand Cru Vaudesir, located on the right bank of the river Le Serein in Chablis, from vineyards facing entirely south. The soil is composed of calcareous-clayey marl from the Kimeridgiano period, rich in fossils. The fermentation is spontaneous based on indigenous yeasts, 70% of the mass is aged in used barrels of 6 years for 15 months, 4 of which are spent on the yeasts, the remaining 30% is aged in steel. The Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir by Billaud shows a very elegant bouquet with notes of pastry and marzipan in the background, and evident minerality. In the mouth it is very balanced, the freshness is balanced with a final sweetness, persistent and of great class.
