Chambertin Grand Cru Cuvée Heritiers Latour 2006 Magnum Louis Latour
Chambertin Grand Cru Cuvée Heritiers Latour 2006 Magnum is a fine wine produced by Louis Latour. At the end of the nineteenth century Latour family bought 0.81 hectares of vineyard in the Chambertin Grand Cru appellation, and the parcel has been named "Cuvée Héritiers Latour", just because it has been handed down from generation to generation by the descendants of Latour family.
It is made from 100% Pinot Noir from vines of about 35 years of age and fermentation takes place in 100% new oak casks for a period of 12 months. It is a rich and structured Champagne whose complexity comes from the combination of Pinot Noir and from the type of terroir of Chambertin, composed by brown limestone soils which give life to complex wines having a great aging potential.
Louis Latour's Chambertin Grand Cru Cuvée Heritiers Latour 2006 shows an intense and penetrating ruby red color. The nose has a bouquet of red fruit, hints of coffee and underbrush, for a full bodied and tasty sip, with silky tannins and a beautiful elegance and crispness.
