Chateau Figeac St-Emilion Premier Cru 2012 Chateau Figeac
Château Figeac is a winery in Bordeaux, in particular in the St-Emillon area. With its 40 hectares of vineyards, it is one of the largest in the commune of Saint-Emilion, where the vines grow on sandy and stony soils. The unusual blend of 70% Cabernet (half Cabernet Franc, half Cabernet Sauvignon) and only 30% Merlot is due to the particular quality of the soil. So atypical for this area that it is much more like a Médoc. Harmonious and well-structured, this is an excellent wine of great elegance and extraordinary ageing potential. Already excellent, with age it will become sublime. A beautiful garnet red colour, it expresses an intense and fruity nose of black cherry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, plum, for a delicate, enveloping and harmonious sip. In the mouth it is delicate with intense nuances of red and black fruit.
