Cotes Catalanes Horizon Blanc 2012 Domaine de l'Horizon
Cotes Catalanes Horizon Blanc 2012 is a French natural wine from Languedoc-Roussilon region produced by Domaine de l'Horizon. It is produced from typical grapes of the area Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Macabeo, in a terroir characterized by good temperature ranges produced by Pyrenees and by the influence of the sea.
Grapes come from vines aged between 60 and 100 years old which grow in a soil rich in pebbles and limestone which give great minerality to wines. Harvesting is exclusively done by hand and the vineyards are entirely owned by the Domaine and are cultivated with biodynamic farming principles in full respect of the environment.
This Cotes Catalanes Horizon Blanc 2012 by Domaine de l'Horizon shows in the glass a beautiful and luminous straw yellow color with golden hues, and has a delicate nose of hydrocarbon and vegetal notes, softened by hints of melted butter; in the mouth is less structured than the others of the Domaine's range, with a very fresh taste of citrus aromas, sapid but balanced by a hint of sweet vanilla.
