Wine Tasting Box "Crémant of France"
France is famous for its bubbles produced in the Champagne area, but not everyone knows that French bubbles are not just Champagne! There are also Crémants, or classic method sparkling wines, or champenoise, that are produced outside the region, let's discover them with this tasting box.
WHAT IT CONTAINS:
Crémant de Bourgogne Extra Brut 2017 Gruhier: made from a cuvée of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. The low dosage allows the original characteristics of the grapes to be respected, and this wine remains to age in the bottle on its lees for 24 months, enriching itself with personality and greater complexity, although it remains a very pleasant and easy-to-drink sparkling wine. This 2017 Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc Extra Brut has an intense straw yellow colour. The nose is very expressive giving notes of pastry and citrus fruits (especially red orange aroma is evident). The sip is refined, quite fresh, pleasant with a bubble that gently caresses the palate.
Crémant du Jura "Indigine" Domaine Buronfosse: It is made from Chardonnay and Savagnin grapes from vineyards located in La Combe de Rotalier. The soils here are predominantly limestone, and this wine remains true to the terroir with its distinct acidity and saline notes. It presents a nose of green apple, green tea and white flowers. The palate is taut, with nice acidity and saline notes. A delicious and mouth-watering sparkling wine that is perfect as an aperitif or with cheese or fish dishes.
Crémant d'Alsace Brut Ruhlmann: Inspired by France's most famous bubbly, Ruhlmann ages its Crémant d'Alsace for a long period on the lees so that it develops greater complexity. But it has to be said that although Crémant d'Alsace shares the same method as Champagne, it absolutely reflects the Alsatian terroir and traditions, with a much more affordable price than Champagne. Ruhlmann Crémant d'Alsace Brut elegantly introduces us to the world of Ruhlmann bubbles: it is made from a blend of Pinot blanc (60%), Auxerrois (20%), Pinot gris (10%) and Riesling (10%); it has fine bubbles, a delicate creamy texture and distinct aromas of citrus, peach and a hint of hazelnut. A fine bottle that will appeal to even the most discerning palate.
