Gewurztraminer Selida 2019 Cantina Tramin
Gewurztraminer Selida 2019 is a white wine from Trentino Alto Adige produced by Cantina Tramin. "Selida" in the ancient local language means "little farm" or small farm, and is a tribute to the traditional farming culture of the area from which the winery takes its inspiration. The 100% Gewurztraminer grapes come from vineyards located at an altitude of 300-500 m above sea level with a south-eastern exposure on clay and gravel soils.
The vines enjoy a very favourable microclimate with marked temperature fluctuations due to warm days influenced by the Mediterranean climate, and cold nights with very fresh winds coming from the mountains. Harvesting is done by hand, fermentation takes place in small steel containers at a controlled temperature, and the wine then matures for a period of 4 months in small steel containers.
The Gewurztraminer Selida 2019 of Tramin shows in the glass a beautiful straw yellow colour with golden highlights; the nose offers a complex and characteristic aromatic array of floral hints of rose petals, lily, herbaceous notes and exotic fruits such as mango and maracuja, for an intense and deep, fresh and persistent sip. This wine has an excellent ageing potential of about 10 years.
