Lumiere des Senses Pinot D'Aunis 2018 Robinot
"Lumiere des Senses" is a natural wine produced by Jean-Pierre Robinot. Vigneron alternative and visionary, far from fashions, deeply in love with his territory, the Loire. He is regarded as a spiritual guide throughout France because he was the first to set up a natural wine shop in Paris before returning to Loire to start his wine production. In this wonderful territory, the protagonist is the Pineau d'Aunis, a car that offers elegant, sublime and spicy wines, and which, despite the name, has nothing to do with the mobile Pinot family. The vines of the "Lumiere des Sense" wine are daughters of the biodynamic forces that vitalize the red, clayey and limestone territory, typical of Jasnieres. In force Jean-Pierre follows a sensitive and respectful approach, prohibiting the use of any chemical and synthetic product. In the cellar the philosophy is the same: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, mass maceration on the skins and absence of invasive processes, such as filtration, clarification or addition of sulphites. The aging lasts 24 months in used wooden barrels, carefully preserved in the cellar carved into the rock. Robinot's "Lumiere des Sense" is an elegant deep and dark ruby red dress, edged with garnet reflections. The nose deserves more than a taste, let it move casually in the glass because it needs to breathe to make itself known. Shy and reserved, but when he lets himself go to conquer its refined aromas of rhubarb, licorice, tamarind, blueberries and black currants. Tasting, despite the gustatory tension, shows all its elegance and refinement, subtle and delicate, transmitted a deep and multifaceted personality. An enchanting jewel of the Loire!
