Meursault Les Corbins 2018 Vincent Dancer
Meursault Les Corbins 2018 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Vincent Dancer. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that come from the Les Corbins parcel, located to the north of Meursault next to Les Criots and Clos de la Barre on the lower part of the slope. The vines were planted in 1986 and lie on a Bathonian limestone soil mixed with pebbles, a very particular terroir that is reflected in the wine through an intense minerality.
All stages of vinification follow organic farming principles based on full respect for the environment: fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts, while battonage is not carried out to preserve freshness. The wine is aged in 50% new oak barrels for 17 months and after blending is racked back into stainless steel to age for a further 5-6 months before bottling, which takes place without filtering or filtration.
The Meursault Les Corbins 2018 has a luminous deep yellow colour. The nose offers delicate scents of lime and hawthorn, toasted aromas of almond, hazelnut, notes of citrus and honey, on a mineral background of flint. The taste is rich, enveloping, with a well-integrated woody note and a savoury finish.
