Meursault Vielles Vignes 2016 Buisson Charles
Meursault Vielles Vignes 2016 is a white wine from Burgundy produced by Buisson Charles. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from two hectares of old vines in the village of Meursault, aged between 45 and 90 years, spread over six lieux-dits that give different characteristics to the wines:
Vireuils and Meix Chavaux are located in a higher position, on the hillside, bringing freshness, while Marcausses, Vignes Blanches and Pellans are located at the base of the hill and give intensity and structure. Finally, Les Millerands gives elegance to the product. Vinification takes place in 20% new barrels and the wine is released after 14 months.
The Meursault Vielles Vignes 2016 is a white wine with a definite and very territorial character, in line with the classic and scholastic style of Buisson Charles. It clearly denotes the terroir of Meursault through clear characteristics of richness and minerality. It has a wonderful straw yellow colour, while the nose offers a complex bouquet of fruit such as peach and apple, smoky notes against a delicate background of wood. The sip is very elegant and mineral, at the same time rich. A great classic, a Meursault that conquers with its enjoyability.
