Nuits Saint Georges Les Charmottes 2019 Domaine Chicotot

Nuits Saint Georges Les Charmottes 2019 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Chicotot. In the Burgundian dialect, "Charmottes" (or "charmes") indicated uncultivated land, symbolizing the area of origin of the pinot noir grapes, which grow on the deep, limestone soils of Nuits-Saint Georges in Burgundy. After 5/6 days of pre-fermentative maceration, the alcoholic fermentation lasts at least 15 days by using selected yeasts, just like all the other working phases in the vineyard and in the cellar which follow principles of natural agriculture. This wine expresses an intense bouquet made of floral notes (peonies and violets) and notes of small red fruits. The sip is full but elegant, drinkable and very pleasing.
