Pinot Noir "Abbey Harris Vineyard" 2016 Anthill Farms
Pinot Noir "Abbey Harris Vineyard" 2016 is a California red wine produced by Anthill Farms. The Pinot Noi grapes come from this two-acre vineyard is located between 900 and 1100 feet (about 300 m high), south above the town of Boonville in the Anderson Valley. Its soils are part of the Wolfey-Bearwallow complex: about half of the vineyard has very pale sandy soil mixed with pink quartz, while the other half has more organic matter and large outcrops of shale. This 2016 Abbey Harris Vineyard Pinot Noir, ruby red in colour with garnet highlights, has a perfumed nose of wild strawberries, fennel seeds, coriander and hints of earthiness. The sip is elegant, drinkable and balanced.
