FORADORI
Foradori, authentic and territoial wines from Trentino
One of the most influential and recognised names among the women of Italian wine is undoubtedly that of Elisabetta Foradori. Elisabetta is the heir to a family that runs this winery located in the municipality of Mezzolombardo, in the province of Trento, when in 1984 she tackled her first harvest after completing her studies in oenology at the school of S. Michele all'Adige and found herself managing the company following the death of her father.
From that moment on, the talented heir began to put into practice a work aimed at the revaluation of Teroldego, which in recent years has been able to establish itself on the Italian wine scene together with other local Trentino vines such as Nosiola and Manzoni Bianco. Thanks to a perfect fusion of passion and competence, Elisabetta has now become a point of reference for many winemakers in the region and has therefore been nicknamed "the queen of Teroldego".
Both in the vineyard and in the cellar the principles of organic farming are followed with a strong focus on the search for the highest quality products and respect for nature and traditions: in the vineyard there is a ban on chemicals, in the cellar amphora fermentation is preferred, according to a very old tradition, and fermentation is spontaneous and based on indigenous yeasts. Foradori's range of wines are authentic and territorial expressions of the Trentino terroir: the white wines (especially the Teroldego) are structured, deep and complex.
