Granato 2018 Foradori
Granato 2018 is a red wine from Trentino produced using natural methods by the Foradori winery. This label represents the winery's icon: a reference to the pomegranate, a fruit that has the same origin as the vine, widespread in the Mediterranean, the same charm and intensity.
Granato is the company's purest expression of Teroldego, from vines about 70 years old that rest on alluvial soils. Elisabetta Foradori, nicknamed the "Queen of Teroldego", has succeeded in re-evaluating this native grape variety and creating fascinating and authentic expressions of it through her wines. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in open oak vats with maceration on the skins for 20-30 days, and subsequent ageing takes place for 12 months in 20-40 hl acacia barrels and 2 months in cement tanks.
The Granato 2018 expresses a bright ruby red colour in the glass, while the nose offers fruity aromas such as currant and cherry, pomegranate and mineral notes. The sip is structured and rich, balanced by a nice freshness and sapidity, with well-defined tannins.
