Description

Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret 2014 Buisson Charles

Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret 2014 is a white wine from Burgundy produced by Buisson Charles. The Chardonnay grapes come from the renowned 1er Cru Le Cailleret vineyard, which by virtue of its merit could be considered a Grand Cru.

The eastern exposure, the gentle slope at the foot of the hill and the clay-limestone component of the soil make it one of the best terroirs in the commune of Puligny. All stages of vinification are followed with care and respect for the environment, in line with the production philosophy of Buisson Charles. The harvest is done by hand and the grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard before gentle pressing, after which the wine matures in 30% new oak barrels.

This Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret 2014 is an energetic yet rich and complex wine: straw yellow to golden in colour, it expresses an intensely floral, spicy and mineral nose, with a sip that is both structured and straight.
