Rosso 2014 Chateau Musar
Rosso 2014 is a red wine from Lebanon produced using natural methods by Chateau Musar. It is made from a blend of red grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Carignano, from plants about 40 years old that are cultivated in the renowned Beeka Valley area in Lebanon, on a soil with gravelly soil and calcareous subsoil.
All production phases, from the vineyard to the winery, follow organic farming processes with no use of chemicals. After destemming, maceration on the skins for 4 weeks and spontaneous and malolactic fermentation in 60 to 300 hl cement vats, this wine is aged on its fine lees for 1 year in French oak barriques, 1 year in vitrified cement vats and 3 years in the bottle.
The 2014 Rosso from Chateau Musar is a deep, structured and complex wine, modelled on the great wines of Bordeaux. On the nose it expresses an intense bouquet of fruit, spices, leather and balsamic notes for a rich and powerful but at the same time elegant sip with a mineral finish. A great red wine that is also suitable for 50 years of ageing!
