Rosso Jeune 2018 Chateu Musar
Chateu Musar's 2018 Rosso Jeune wine is a fresh, fruity red from Lebanon. It is a wine designed to be light, fruity and drinkable, without too much structure. It is made from 55% Cinsault, 25% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, international grape varieties that have adapted very well to the mountainous terrain of the Bekaa Valley where they grow on limestone-clay soils in a cool climate due to the 1000 metres of altitude, giving rise to extremely elegant wines.
In this particular and suitable context, Chateau Musar carries out a careful and highly respectful work of the environment, with sustainable practices adopted both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Fermentation takes place spontaneously, using only indigenous yeasts in cement vats, where the wine is left to age for 9 months, followed by a further 12 months in the bottle before release.
The 2018 Chateau Musar Jeune Rosso shows a beautiful bright ruby red colour in the glass: the nose is predominantly fruity and floral with delicate spicy notes. In the mouth it is fresh, fruity and spicy with a savoury finish.
