SP68 2020 Arianna Occhipinti
SP68 2020 is a Sicilian red wine produced by Arianna Occhipinti using natural methods. The name refers to the now famous road that runs alongside the contrada Fossa di Lupo in Vittoria, where the company was founded 17 years ago. Arianna Occhipinti's is one of the most famous names in Italy of women who have been recognised for their production philosophy aimed at producing genuine and authentic wines, with full respect for nature and traditions.
In the vineyard, the principles of organic farming are followed, with no use of chemicals and at most only a little copper and sulphur. In the cellar, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation takes place in cement tanks for 30 days with daily pumping over and punching down, followed by 6 months of refinement in cement tanks and no filtration at bottling.
The "SP68" Rosso di Occhipinti shows in the glass a fascinating intense and luminous ruby red colour; on the nose it offers typical scents of carob, aromatic herbs, juniper and small red fruits, while the sip conquers for its pleasantness and balance between freshness and softness, with a velvety tannin.
