Favinia La Muciara 2016 Firriato
Favinia La Muciara 2016 is a white wine produced by Firriato. It is obtained from the indigenous Grillo, Catarratto and Zibibbo vines from vineyards that grow on the island of Favignana at sea level, about 10 meters from it. The marine influence and the sandy subsoil of limestone matrix are reflected in this wine, which expresses marked salty and brackish hints. After the harvest and the soft pressing, the fermentation takes place in steel for 20 days. Still in steel, the wine is left to refine on the noble lees for 6 months. Favinia La Muciara 2016 shows a warm golden yellow color. The intense and complex nose, starting from marine and iodized notes, turns towards floral and fruity aromas, in a delicate spicy frame. The sip is of medium structure, fresh but creamy, characterized, with a slightly smoked finish. A bottle to pair with Sicilian fish dishes.
