Barolo 2016 Massolino
Barolo 2016 is a fine wine from Piedmont produced by the Massolino winery. It is made from Nebbiolo grapes from the Serralunga d'Alba area, from vineyards aged between 10 and 55 years. The vineyards are located on gentle hills at a height of between 320 and 360 metres above sea level, on soils rich in limestone.
The must ferments on the skins in stainless steel for about 15 days and is aged in oak barrels for 30 months. The style of this bottle perfectly reflects the terroir of Serralunga d'Alba with its fullness and great elegance, produced by one of Piedmont's most historic and renowned wineries.
Massolino's Barolo 2016 shows a typical ruby red colour with garnet highlights. The nose offers a layered bouquet of fruity aromas of cherries and berries, floral aromas of roses and violets, intense spice and notes of herbs. The sip is austere but at the same time elegant, full-bodied and persistent.
