Brunello di Montalcino 2016 Capanna
Brunello di Montalcino 2016 is a Tuscan red wine produced by Capanna. The Sangiovese grapes come from the oldest vineyards of the estate, located north of Montalcino.
Giuseppe Cencioli, creator of the Capanna estate, was also one of the 25 founders of the consortium for Brunello di Montalcino wine: strongly tied to his land, he gives life to authentic and territorial bottles like this Brunello di Montalcino 2016, produced in the traditional way: the must ferments with skin maceration for 25-30 days at a controlled temperature, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation, both carried out in truncated conical Slavonian oak vats. Refinement always takes place in Slavonian oak casks of 10 to 32 hl for about 34-38 months, followed by refinement in the bottle for at least 6 months before release.
The Brunello di Montalcino 2016 Capanna has an intense ruby red colour, with an intense nose of red fruits, violets, spices, for a structured and tannic, very persistent sip.
