Champagne brut Rosé De Sousa
Champagne Rosé Brut is a fine Champenoise method sparkling wine produced by De Sousa. It is made from a blend of Chardonnay with a small percentage of Pinot Noir. It is a very elegant Champagne that accurately reveals the characteristics of the terroir in both grapes, despite the different quantities: the finesse and acidity of Chardonnay approaches the softness and fruit of Pinot Noir. The grapes come from the best vineyards of the Côte des Blancs, in the case of this bottle, the Chardonnay comes from Grauves while the Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru vineyard of Ay. The De Sousa company manages a total of 11 hectares divided into 42 parcels vinified separately to enhance the characteristics of the terroirs. Excellent exposure to the south-east and a chalky subsoil that gives the wines an extraordinary elegance and great minerality and salinity, an element that characterizes the Côte des Blancs Champagne in an unmistakable way. Brut Rosé referments in bottle for at least 30 months on the lees; it is a refined and elegant Champagne Rosè, given the prevalence of Chardonnay, but also characterized by a nice fruity profile and a nice softness. It has a bright pink color, with a delicate and persistent perlage. The nose expresses hints of white fruit and strawberry fruit, citrus and saline notes, in a delicate spicy frame. The sip is lively, with a pleasant savory finish. Perfect in combination with appetizers, fish-based first courses, risotto.
