Chassagne- Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée 2018 is a fine French Burgundy wine produced by Paul Pillot. The Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée 2018 from Domaine Paul Pillot, comes from vines of the eponymous 1er Cru vineyard with an average age of over 75 years. After manual harvesting, the grapes are placed in a stainless steel vat where they ferment spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts for about 1 month to a month and a half. The wine then matures for 12 months in wood, 15% of which is new, after which it matures for a further 6 months in steel before bottling and release. The wine offers hints of white fruits, flowers, marine notes and predominant minerality, in the mouth it is fresh, rich and recalls the fruit, the mineral notes return with the salty finish.
