Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres" Magnum 2006 Domaine Albert Grivault
The Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres" Magnum 2006 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Albert Grivault. The 100% Chardonnay grapes come from a 1er Cru vineyard whose name comes from the French word "perrier " (gravel path) and refers to the territory where the vines grow. The real difference between the "Clos" and the simple "1er Cru Perrieres" (less than 70 metres apart) is due to the layer of rock underneath the "Clos", with a series of parameters that give it an extra layer over the more "simple" Perrieres, obtained from 50-year-old vines, compared to the "Clos", which underwent replanting in 1987. The Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres" 2006 is nevertheless an incredible wine, endowed with a very interesting sapidity and freshness, great structure and texture.
