Morey Saint Denis 2018 Tortochot

Morey Saint Denis 2018 is a red wine from Burgundy produced by Tortochot. It is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown from various areas that are under the Morey-St-Denis appellation. Harvesting takes place after mid-September and vinification is carried out through 20 days of maceration with spontaneous fermentation using only indigenous yeasts, after which the wine is aged in 50% new barrels for 18 months before bottling. This Morey Saint Denis 2018 is characterised by a beautiful minerality and elegance, with a clean nose composed of floral aromas and mineral salts, for a fresh and tannic, complex sip. This wine is predisposed to great evolutionary capacity of more than 10 years, but is great to taste even after 3-4 years.

Domaine Tortochot is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Brigitte and Chantal Tortochot guide the reins of the company with the utmost respect for the traditions of Burgundy: low yields, organic farming is practised in the vineyard where the only fertilisers given to the soil are biodynamic preparations. Harvesting is manual, fermentation is spontaneous and the wines are aged in 100% new barriques for the Grands Crus, 50% for the Premier Cru and 25% for the Villages for a period of 15 to 18 months. The wines of the domaine Tortochot are products of the highest quality from prestigious terroirs.
