Rozas 1er Cru 2017 Comando G
Rozas 1er Cru 2017 is a Spanish red wine produced using natural methods by the Comando G winery. It is made from 100% Garnacha grapes from 50-60 year old vines growing on a granitic-sandy soil at an altitude of 900m.
Rozas 1er Cru is an interesting expression of mountain Garnacha, with an elegant appearance and a distinct minerality: no chemicals are used in the vineyard or in the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous with whole bunches, and maturation is carried out in contact with its own yeasts in old oak barrels for 12 months. Finally, the wine is bottled without stabilisation or filtration and with a minimum of sulphur.
The Rozas 1er Cru 2017 has floral, fruity aromas of black cherries, pomegranates, spices, smoky and mineral notes, balsamic notes of liquorice and juniper. The sip is pleasant and fresh and fruity, savoury but with a certain creaminess that fills the mouth. A fresh and surprising version of Garnacha.
