Sancerre La Noue 2018 Claude Riffault
Sancerre La Noue 2018 is a French red wine from the Loire Valley produced by Claude Riffault, made using natural methods in line with the company's philosophy of respecting the balance between soil and vineyard as much as possible.
This Sancerre "La Noue" is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from a vineyard of 2.5 hectares from vines of different ages ranging from 8 to 56 years old, on soils composed of Terre Bianche and marl Kimmeridgiennes. Each step is carried out with the utmost care and respect for the terroir, starting with manual harvesting. The fermentations are spontaneous with limited extractions to favour the natural development of the aromas of the grapes. Maturation then lasts 12 months in oak barrels.
Claude Riffault's 2018 Sancerre La Noue has an intense ruby colour; the nose is precise and mineral and also expresses aromas of berries such as currants and blackberries. The sip is elegant, mineral and persistent.
