Saumur Rouge Les Arboises 2015 Guiberteau
Guiberteau's Saumur Rouge Les Arboises 2015 wine is a natural sulfite-free wine produced in the Saumur region in the Loire valley by Domaine Guiberteau. It is produced with 100% Cabernet Franc, which grows on the best cru of the denomination: Brezet, characterized by the presence of fossil residues in the subsoil that give minerality and elegance to the wines. It appears of an extremely bright ruby red color. The nose which, after adequate oxygenation, gives complex different aromas: vegetable touches, especially pepper, then spices in particular green pepper. Fresh citrus notes, followed by toasted hints such as coffee and chocolate. In the mouth it is balanced, with a silky tannic texture and a great structure. Very long persistence for this large bottle that stands up to the comparison with the great Burgundy Pinot Noirs, at a considerably cheaper price. A few years is useful for this wine to express its best, perfect in combination with structured meat dishes, game or aged cheeses.

Natural wines without sulphites derive from the cultivation of vines treated exclusively with copper and sulfur (in limited quantities), compost of biodynamic and natural origin, respecting the growth and ripening cycles strictly dictated by nature, in order to obtain naturally healthy, strong grapes and capable of self-defense against parasites. As for winemaking, natural wines are brought to maturity without the addition of any supporting chemicals or selected yeasts, allowing the course of spontaneous maceration of sugar and sulphites of the grapes to take place in a completely natural way.
