Barbaresco Gallina 2006 Piero Busso
Barbaresco Gallina 2006 is a fine wine by Piero Russo, a great interpretation of the historic Cru Gallina which is located north-east of Neive, in the Barbaresco area. This terroir is among the most popular for the production of fine and elegant quality wines, and in fact Barbaresco Gallina Piero Russo is a perfect interpretation of the terroir : produced from 100% Nebbiolo, it is an elegant wine, finely fruity and floral , balanced. To obtain top quality wines, Piero Russo starts from a meticulous work in the vineyard: a vineyard of just over one hectare which is located 320 meters above sea level of vines between 15 and 30 years old on calcareous-clayey marl. The wine undergoes a long aging of 18 months in barrique. At the sight it appears a ruby red with garnet reflections, the nose is pervaded by a remarkable nose intensity composed of a floral bouquet of violet, red fruits, balsamic notes of eucalyptus and licorice that we find in the mouth where the wine is harmonious and balanced, complex and with refined tannins.
