Azelia Barolo Riserva Voghera Brea 2001
Barolo Riserva Voghera Brea from Azienda Agricola Azelia is one of the most important Piedmontese wines, an Italian oenological excellence known all over the world, a wide, structured, elegant and unique wine, produced in only 3000 bottles in the best vintages.
Azelia Barolo Riserva Voghera Brea is a rare wine, extremely difficult to find on the market given the small number of bottles produced. It is produced in a vineyard of only 0.85 hectares in Serralunga d'Alba, from 75 years old vineyards planted on a clayey limestone soil with southern exposure, at 360 meters above sea level. The hill that houses the vineyard is incredibly steep and receives enough light and sunshine to give the grapes remarkable character and incredible concentration.
The Barolo Riserva Voghera Brea Azelia sees the light only in the best vintages, this regal juice is a beautiful garnet red, the nose is a riot of complexity, the glass alternates notes of dried flowers, black cherry, plum, blackberry, blackberry, violet, chocolate, tobacco, spices and dozens of other descriptors that make each tasting a story in itself. In the mouth it is powerful and refined, with tannins softened by the long rest in the cellar, the finish is extremely long, it never leaves you!
An incredible wine, able to age for decades, certainly one of the most beautiful experiences for every wine lover.
