Bourgogne Rouge 2018 Sylvie Esmonin
Bourgogne Rouge 2018 is a French natural wine from the Burgundy region, produced by Sylvie Esmonin. It is made from Pinot Noir grapes cultivated and grown in the estate vineyards distributed in the municipality of Gevrey-Chambertin, whose scents and great elegance are recognisable, despite the fact that it is a Bourgogne Rouge.
The nose expresses freshness but at the same time richness, with aromas of cassis and black cherry under psyrtis. The palate is powerful and structured, while remaining delicate and feminine like all of Sylvie Esmonin's wines, which revolve around the elegance and clarity of the fruit. The finish is incredibly long, and the great complexity and persistence of this bottle is astonishing.
It is certainly unusual to find Bourgogne with this level of quality, and one will have to wait a few years before tasting it at its best.
