Chorey-les-Beaune Vieilles Vignes 2019 Domaine Rapet
Chorey-les-Beaune Vieilles Vignes 2019 is a red wine from Burgundy produced by Domaine Rapet. The Pinot Noir grapes that make up this interesting red wine come from the village of Chorey-les-Beaune, from old vines growing on alluvial marly limestone soils with stony subsoils.
The aim is to obtain the fullness of the fruit through complete ripening of the grapes, and tannin that is present but in a delicate way.
After manual harvesting and a precise selection of the grapes directly in the vineyard, fermentation takes place for 15 days with punching down, while refinement takes place in barriques of which only 30% are new. The Chorey-les-Beaune Vieilles Vignes 2019 has a bouquet of small red fruits such as raspberries and sour cherries. The sip is delicate but full-bodied, supported by a silky tannic texture.
