Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Tete Du Clos 2018 Vincent Dancer
Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Tete Du Clos 2018 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Vincent Dancer. The 100% Chardonnay grapes come from the eponymous "Tete du Clos", a small walled parcel located within the 1er Cru Les Morgeots, it is practically the best part of the vineyard. The vines were planted in 1954 on this prized parcel, which is cultivated only by Dancer and one other producer. The soil here is essentially rocky and white, giving the wines intense minerality.
The wines of Dancer are made according to organic farming principles and represent authentic interpretations of the terroir of origin, bottles of the highest quality that satisfy even the most demanding palates.
Fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts, while battonage is not carried out to preserve freshness. It ages in 50% new oak barrels for 17 months and after blending is racked again into stainless steel to age for a further 5-6 months before bottling, which is done without filtering or filtration.
This Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Tete Du Clos shows in the glass a beautiful straw yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose offers aromas of white and exotic fruits, floral notes and a mineral note. In the mouth it is consistent with the nose, for a long and savoury sip.
