Marsannay Rouge 2017 Sylvain Pataille
Marsanny Rouge 2017 is a natural wine produced by Sylvain Pataille. It is made up of Pinot Noir grapes that are grown on calcareous clay soil. When the grapes enter the cellar they are placed in containers for intrapellic fermentation or in whole bunch with maceration for two / three weeks. This activates a process well loved by the winemakers who take little action in the cellar and above all that I work without sulfur dioxide. Vinification takes place in steel and fiberglass containers. Then the wine is placed in barriques for aging for more than 2 years. This Marsannay Rouge 2017 is a worthy and pure representative of the Marsennay territory and of Pataille's work: it is an elegant and velvety wine, with a ruby red color, crunchy cherry nose and spices; in the mouth there is a dense tannic texture, extremely silky. Perfect if paired with grilled lamb.
