Marsannay Chardonnay Rose 2018 Pataille
Marsannay Chardonnay Rose 2018 is a natural wine produced by Sylvain Pataille. The grapes from which this bottle is made is a genetic mutation of the Chardonnay, typical of the village of Marsannay. Sylvain Pataille noticed it for the first time in 2002, when he acquired a parcel in Blangeys and a moment of the harvest is accompanied by those grapes were pink. From 2002 to 2005, his Marsannay Blanc was included by 100% Blangeys Chardonnay Rose, including the cuvée was made with the partial use of other Chardonnay grapes. But Sylvain was not content to mix this unique grape with traditional Chardonnay and continued his research from there, also using his Les Blangeys vines to propagate the variety, planting high density (20,000 vines per hectare) in 2009 and then in 2013 and 2014.
