ERIC RODEZ
Eric Rodez: I grandi Champagne di Ambonnay
Eric Rodez is one of the most interesting names in the Champagne scene, in particular in the area among the most precious ones for the production of Pinot Noir: Grand Cru of Ambonnay.
The winery has 6 hectares (12 acres) which are now run after 9 generations by Martine, Eric and Michael Rodez. Eric, a refined winemaker, had a working experience at Maison Krug, where he learned the use of vinification in wood and the style of his Champagnes: complex, elegant and evolved.
After ten years spent in analyzing the soil of his vineyards and experimenting with various cultivation techniques, in 2009 the winery converted to organic and biodynamic farming. Moreover, in 2012, it received the "high environmental value" label, thus becoming the first French agricultural activity to be certified.
Rodez's range speaks authentically of its territory through the important structure of its Champagnes, along with great refinement.
