TRISTAN HYEST
Tristan Hyest, vigneron artisan of Champagne
Tristan Hyest is a small Champagne vigneron artisan, very attached to the terroir and traditions handed down by his family's winemakers.
He inherited the Domaine in Trélou-Sur-Marne, in the Vallée de la Marne, from his father 18 years ago, completing his studies in oenology with the desire to follow in his father's footsteps and create his own Cuvée on which he began working in 2003, having taken full control of the vineyards two years earlier.
Today, he continues to run the business after acquiring a few more hectares, cultivating the typical Champagne vines (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier) with the same philosophy and values handed down by the family, those of cultivating the land with respect and awareness, through natural and sustainable viticulture.
The vines are worked with care and respect, yields are low and sometimes only one barrique is used from grapes from a single parcel. In the cellar, the wine is matured on the lees and in caves for periods ranging from 4 to 10 years, with low dosage levels. His range of Champagne speaks authentically of its terroir, with character and personality, defining Tristan's personal style.
