Sancerre les Boucauds 2018 Claude Riffault
Sancerre les Boucauds 2018 is a French fine wine produced by Claude Riffault. Wine made with grapes from different plots all located in place of Les Boucauds, this cuvée uses almost 50% of the Sauvignon Blanc planted on the estate. The Claude Riffault company lays the foundations of their production philosophy by making wine from vineyards from separate plots to best represent their terroir characteristics, as well as meticulous work in the vineyard and in the cellar, based on principles of biodynamic agriculture. The grapes used come from kimmeridgen soils entirely coming from earthy blanches soils - marls and clays on Kimmeridgian limestone - this wine represents a pure expression of this site and the skilful vinification of Stéphane Riffault. The Sancerre les Boucauds 2018 shows itself at the sight of a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it has complex fruity, citrus and mineral nuances. Then hints of white fruits, pink grapefruit and wet stone. In the mouth it is soft and juicy, with a tonic and persistent sip and mineral references.
