Sauvignon Blanc 'The Dividing Line' 2018 Fincher & Co
Sauvignon Blanc 'The Dividing Line' 2018 is a New Zealand white wine produced by Fincher & Co. The grapes sell hand-picked from the Alice Mills vineyard, Rapaura, Marlborough. This vineyard covers 30 hectares on a lean soil, which imparts more citrus and wet stone notes, compared to the typical tropical fruit notes of other parts of Malborough.
The must then undergoes barrel fermentation and extended lees contact in older casks. This is a different version of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, a more elegant yet rich and full-bodied wine.
On the nose, this wine shows notes of citrus, melon and exotic fruit, but this is less evident than in other areas, against a floral background. Prolonged time on the natural lees gives the wine great texture and a mouth-watering nutty aroma. A consistent style of Sauvignon Blanc with a dry herbal aftertaste, vibrant acidity and a long, lingering finish.
