BRNLL 2015 Fazenda Pradio
BRNLL 2015 is a Spanish red wine produced by Fazenda Pradio. It is made from 50% Brancellao, 50% Merenzao, a blend of ancient grapes from the region of Galicia. The grapes are harvested by hand, the alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously and without oenological intervention, the malolactic fermentation takes place in 300 litre French oak barrels, where the wine is also aged for 8 months.
The winery is located in Ribeira Sacra and comprises 5 hectares of terraced vineyards of indigenous grape varieties of the area including Merenzao and Brancellao, of which this wine is made. The vineyards face south, south-east, at an altitude of 500 metres above sea level, on granite and schist soil. Pradio adopts strict viticultural practices that respect the environment, the soil and the plant.
The BRNLL/MRNZ 2015 expresses an intense garnet red colour with a nose of currant, grapefruit and weed notes for a fresh but at the same time structured and long sip.
