Etna Bianco 2019 Benanti
Etna Bianco Benanti is a wine that perfectly reflects the uniqueness of the terroir from which it originates. Produced from Carricante grapes, the historic vine cultivated along the slopes of the volcano, it is Benanti's first Sicilian white wine.
The vineyards from which the grapes used to produce this wine originate are on the northern slope of Etna, in the Viagrande area, on soils rich in minerals. The particular climate, characterised by wide temperature ranges between night and day, favours the slow ripening of the grapes, which thus generate fine and very elegant aromas. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks and the wine is matured for about a year in steel before a brief period in the bottle.
Benanti's Etna Bianco has a beautiful straw yellow colour in the glass, accompanied by a bouquet of citrus fruits such as grapefruit, citron and lemon, white flowers, salty and mineral notes. In the mouth it is savoury with an elegant mineral note that accompanies the whole sip.
