Etna Rosso "Contrada Diciassettesalme" 2019 Cottanera
Etna Rosso "Contrada Diciassettesalme" 2019 is a red wine produced by Cottanera. It is made from pure Nerello Mascalese grapes, it is a "volcanic" wine in all respects. The grapes come from vineyards located at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level, on a territory of volcanic-alluvial matrix, from which derives the clearly mineral aromatic profile of this Etna Rosso. The wine rests for 8 months in large barrels before bottling. The Etna Rosso "Contrada Diciassettesalme" 2019 of Cottanera shows a ruby red color; the nose is introduced by fruity aromas of small berries and brambles to reach mineral hints of lava stone. In the mouth it is medium bodied, structured, with a medium tannin and a long savory finish. Worthy representative of the Etna terroir, it takes a few years before expressing its "volcanic soul" at its best.
